INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT

Termguard Commercial is committed to offering Integrated Pest Management where possible. This is the integration of non-chemical and chemical methods for controlling pests with an emphasis placed on the non-chemical practices of pest control and sanitation. Where non-chemical methods have not prevented the entry or survival of pest, low toxic pesticides and trapping programs are introduced to control and eliminate that pest. The primary aim of Integrated Pest Management is to offer more than one strategy to control pests. Truly integrated programs employ at least two types of control measures.

Your Termguard Commercial representative will explain the different types of control measure that are suggested to eliminate or control certain pest problems. These will typically fall into one of the following categories:

* Habitat modification;

* Changing human (your staff) behaviour;

* Employment of traps, barriers, nets etc; and

* Pesticide applications
